Bramley Grange Academy is seeking to appoint a reliable, enthusiastic and committed Cover Teacher to join our dedicated team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and playing a vital role in the day-to-day life of a thriving school.

The Role

As a Cover Teacher, you will supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring that students remain on task and engaged with the work set. You will contribute to maintaining a calm, positive learning environment and support the school’s high standards of behaviour and achievement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising whole classes and delivering pre-prepared lesson materials
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Supporting students to engage with learning and complete set work
  • Liaising with teaching and pastoral staff as required
  • Upholding safeguarding, health and safety, and school procedures at all times

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable)
  • Is confident managing groups of students in a classroom setting
  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is organised, adaptable and resilient
