Bramley Grange School is seeking a motivated and compassionate Maths / Numeracy Intervention Lead to support secondary-aged students with SEMH needs who are working at Key Stage 2 level in Maths. This role focuses on delivering targeted numeracy interventions to small groups of learners, helping students to build core mathematical skills, confidence and engagement with learning within a specialist SEN environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Maths and numeracy intervention programmes for small groups
- Support students working at KS2 level within a secondary SEN / SEMH setting
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning and behavioural needs
- Monitor, assess and record student progress
- Work closely with teaching, SEN and pastoral teams
- Contribute to personalised learning plans and review meetings
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience delivering Maths or numeracy interventions at KS2 level
- Experience in KS3 and/or KS4 settings is ideal but not essential
- Understanding of SEMH and SEN education
- QTS is desirable but not essential
- Patient, resilient and adaptable approach to teaching
- Confident working with small groups and differentiated learning
- Suitable for teachers, tutors, HLTA or intervention specialists
