We are seeking a skilled and personable Professional Barbers & Hair stylists to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality haircuts, styling, and grooming services to clients in a welcoming environment. This is a full-time, on-site Barber & Hair Stylists role based in London. You will provide hair cutting, styling, and grooming services, including traditional and contemporary cuts, beard trims, shaves, braids & styling. Day-to-day responsibilities include consulting with clients to understand their preferences, recommending suitable styles and hair care routines, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and sanitation for tools and workstations. You will also help manage appointment flow, support a positive client experience, and contribute to the overall presentation and atmosphere of the barbershop.
Chair rent: £100 per week
Duties:
- Deliver professional barbering & styling services including haircuts, shaves, braids and treatments tailored to individual client preferences
- Ability to work with all hair types especially afro hair
- Consult with clients to understand their grooming needs and offer expert advice on styles and products
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the station in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Build rapport with clients to foster loyalty and encourage repeat business
- Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in hair styling and grooming techniques
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently to minimise wait times and optimise client flow
- Ensure all tools and equipment are properly sterilised and maintained for safety and hygiene standards
Requirements:
- Proven experience in barbering or hair styling, with relevant qualifications or certifications preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English
- Excellent communication skills to understand client needs and provide personalised advice
- Proficiency in barbering techniques and hair styling techniques, including fades, line-ups, beard trimming, and traditional shaves - braiding, weaving, chemical treatments, colouring and cutting
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Friendly, professional demeanour with a passion for delivering outstanding grooming experiences
- Knowledge of current grooming trends and products is desirable but not essential
- Must have social media
- Must have a minimum of 5 clients on private books
- DBS clearance is beneficial
