We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Shift Clerk to join our Customs Insights team in Dover. As a Senior Shift Clerk, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our customs clearance operations and ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off (Day 1 & 2 0700 – 1900, Day 3 & 4 1900 – 0700)
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising a shift team in the absence of the shift supervisor.
- Ensuring all tasks assigned to the shift team are completed in a compliant manner.
- Completing daily customs clearance work.
- Assisting customs clerks with paperwork completion.
- Processing amendments and correspondence to customs.
- Completing excise declarations.
- Supporting other operational duties as required.
What we\’re looking for:
- Minimum 2 years experience.
- In-depth knowledge of customs procedures and principles.
- Strong proficiency in Excel spreadsheets.
- Experience with customs clearance software.
- Excellent IT literacy.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

- Team player with excellent communication skills.
