We\’re looking for a Customs Clearance Day Clerk to join our Operations team in Dover, working within our Customs Insights Department. Reporting to the Branch Manager, this full-time role plays a key part in delivering smooth and accurate customs clearance processes.
Working Hours: Mon – Fri 09:00 to 17:30 (Compulsory overtime may be required).
Key Responsibilities:
- Completing import customs declarations.
- Completing export customs declarations.
- Assisting the customs clerks with completion of customs paperwork as required.
- Assisting with other operational duties within the office at Managers discretion.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years experience
- Full knowledge of customs procedures and principles
- Proficient with customs clearance software
- Good understanding of Excel spreadsheets
- IT Literate
- Conscientious and Attention to detail
- Must be able to meet deadlines
- Team player with good communication skills
- Ability to identify and report issues effectively
- Communicate politely and efficiently with clients and internal staff
