Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and skilled Children’s Complex Care Support Worker to join a small, dedicated team supporting an 11-year-old boy with complex health needs. He has a tracheostomy and ventilator, PEG feeding requirements, uses cough assist, and has SVT. Support is required both during the day whilst he attends school and overnight within the family home.

This role involves delivering person-centred care, promoting independence wherever possible, and ensuring his safety, comfort, and well-being at all times. You will work closely with his family, school staff, and clinical professionals to provide consistent and high-quality care.

Our client is a bright, sociable, and engaging young boy who loves school and is very well liked by his peers. He enjoys teaching worship to friends and family, is a passionate Manchester City fan, and has a strong interest in technology; he is particularly skilled with iPads and enjoys using them for learning and fun.

Qualifications

  • Experience in complex care, paediatrics, or similar clinical settings (preferred).
  • Competency or willingness to be trained in tracheostomy, ventilation, PEG care, and cough assist.
  • Reliability, patience, and a child-centred approach.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work well within a team and family environment.
