Job Description
What you’ll do:
- Join a dedicated care team supporting a delightful and sociable child to reach his full potential.
- Provide specialist care for a child with complex medical needs, supporting daily living, light domestic tasks, and a range of social and sensory activities, including messy and water play, outdoor exploration, arts and crafts, and attending discos.
- Care will be delivered in line with an individualised care plan and includes tracheostomy care, ventilation support, PEG feeding for hydration, and specialist moving and handling due to spinal instability.
- You will be fully supported by the Advantage Healthcare London branch, with regular supervision, team meetings, and ongoing training and clinical support from a registered nurse.
Qualifications
What you’ll need:
- Experience working in a complex care setting.
- Experience in moving and handling.
- Experience in tracheostomy & PEG feed care.
- Experience of looking after a ventilated child.
- Experience with suctioning.
- Experience with Makaton or alternative communication methods.
- You will need to be a car driver due to the location.
