This role combines strong technical leadership with people management, offering the opportunity to shape technical direction, build highâperforming teams, and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Lead agile engineering teams responsible for delivering software across projects of various sizes, often as part of platform rebuilds or squads aligned to core business goals. Set and guide technical direction, ensuring solutions are modular, scalable, and resilient while continuously improving system architecture and performance.
Handsâon engineering best practices: testâdriven/behaviourâdriven development, continuous integration, and highâquality code reviews. Support sprint planning and roadmap development, providing clear visibility of progress to both internal and external stakeholders.
Work closely with Product Owners, BI Developers, Compliance, and Operational Marketing teams to translate customer and business requirements into effective technical solutions. Embed regulatory considerations into platform design, enabling responsible product use. Mentor and coach engineers, creating an autonomous team environment where people grow, learn new technologies, and deliver their best work.
What We Are Looking For
- Strong technical leader with solid engineering background and demonstrable experience managing skilled software engineering teams.
- Handsâon development experience, comfortable writing, testing, and releasing highâquality JavaScript and Node.js code, as well as designing and maintaining cloud infrastructure using infrastructureâasâcode tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Deep understanding of software design, system architecture, algorithms, and performance; experience building commercial web, backend, and cloudâbased solutions.
- Confident in Agile environments, applying modern product development lifecycle practices from prototyping through to delivery.
- Effective people manager with excellent communication skills, ability to motivate, coach, and influence others.
- Proactive, canâdo mindset, challenging existing approaches, and continuously seeking better, more innovative ways to deliver highâquality software.
