Hours: 38 hours per week; Monday β Thursday: 08:30 β 17:00, Friday: 08:30 β 15:30
Purpose of the Role:
As a RF Test Technician, you will be completing functional testing, programming, and building of customer products using bench top test equipment, programming software and customer supplied test procedures and build instructions. Fault finding and identification of failed units to component level.
Responsibilities
- Functional test and programming of new and existing products according to customer specifications and requirements.
- Building assemblies following customer suppled work instructions or drawings.
- Setup and strip down of ATE test racks for various board types.
- Yield measurement, recording and analysis.
- Monitor and identify failure modes and feedback possible solutions to CIL production supervisor, management and/or engineering.
- Investigation into customer returns.
- Ensure all work is completed to specified levels of acceptable workmanship.
- Follow company procedures and work instructions at all times.
- Follow guidance and training from colleagues and peers.
- Ensure all work is carried out and completed in a timely fashion.
- Basic maintenance of equipment and general upkeep of the workspace.
- Ensure Health & Safety of self and work colleagues at all times.
- Adhere to the Health and Safety requirements and regulations
- Adhere to the Company IT and Data policy
- Comply with the statutory requirements and regulations and Company requirements
- Carry out any other reasonable request which is for the benefit of the business
- Assist in the training of team members ensuring best practice standards are maintained.

Qualifications
- Educated to at least GCSE standard or equivalent
- Previous experience of product testing and fault finding, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Use of fine tools and microscopes
- Knowledge of standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes
- Team-player
Advantageous:
- Previous experience in a PCB Testing environment
- Use and experience of test equipment associated with RF electronics such as spectrum and network analysers
- Hand soldering skills
