As Electronics Test Engineer (RF), you will support the CIL Test department in carrying out functional tests on a range of PCBs; primarily of RF design according to customer test specifications, utilising customer-supplied test equipment. You will have an electronics hardware background and be able to diagnose faults to component level. You will provide professional and technical expertise, supporting other departments and customers to achieve maximum quality, minimise waste and meet customer and company objectives.
Key Accountabilities
- Carrying out functional test of a range of PCBs, primarily of RF design, according to customer test specifications and using customer-supplied test equipment.
- Fault-finding to component level PCBs that fail test and determine appropriate means to rectify faults, corrective, and preventive actions.
- Diagnose test-equipment related faults and devise effective repairs.
- Support the CIL PCBA Engineering Team in setting up test strategies for new products as part of NPI.
- Review of new customer test specifications and, where necessary, recommend changes to ensure all test documents and related schematics are fit for use by CIL Test Department.
- First set‑up, review, and verification of customer‑supplied test equipment as part of NPI.
- Review of customer‑supplied test fixtures and, where necessary, recommend changes to ensure all test fixtures and tools are fit for use by the Test Department for production batches.
- Where test fixtures are not supplied, support the PCBA Engineering Team in the design and build of test fixtures.
- Creation of fault logs and classification of failure modes for products to help Test, Engineering and the Quality department in yield analysis, identify areas for improvement either in terms of product design and/or process manufacture and aid in formulating corrective action plans.
