Monday - Thursday: 08:30 - 17:00; Friday: 08:30 - 15:30
Purpose of Role: As a Rework Technician, you will complete the modification, rework and upgrade of PCB assemblies to IPC 610 Class 3 Standard.
Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:
- Removal and replacement of a wide variety of SMT components down to 0201 and 01005 dimensions.
- Removal and replacement of a wide variety of SMT and thru-hole IC packages and connectors including DIL, uBGA, BGAs, PGAs, QFPs.
- Build product according to customer specifications and requirements.
- Ensure all work is completed to specified levels of acceptable workmanship.
- Follow company procedures and work instructions at all times.
- Adhere to the Health and Safety requirements and regulations.
- Adhere to the Company IT and Data policy.
- Comply with the statutory requirements and regulations and Company requirements.
- Carry out any other reasonable request which is for the benefit of the business.
- Assist in the training of team members ensuring best practice standards are maintained.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 yearsβ experience in PCB production.
- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent. City & Guilds Electronics would be advantageous.
- Hand soldering IPC 610 Class 3 trained.
- Advantageous to hold a current IPC-7711: Rework, Modification and Repair qualification, or to have been trained at this level.
