Due to our consistent success, our Projects Team at Custom Intelligent Security is currently recruiting for a Project Manager (PM) to help support the team throughout the delivery, commissioning and handover phase of our projects and installations. The PM will take ownership of their allocated projects and will manage the technical aspect and on-site delivery of them. The PM will assist the commercial team department on client’s meetings and provide engineering support throughout the delivery phase.

As part of the role the PM is expected to contribute to the growth and development of the Team and the Company by providing ideas and suggestions so that we can collectively plan and implement the necessary processes. The PM will also be required to attend events and trade shows to keep up with the latest technologies as well as meeting manufacturers for product demonstrations and reviews.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overall responsibility for the delivery of installation projects covering Access Control, CCTV, Intruder Alarm and associated systems.
  • Accountability for programme, cost, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction across the full project lifecycle.
  • The role combines planning, financial control, technical compliance, and people management.
  • The position requires significant time on client sites, alongside structured project control and reporting.
Project Planning, Progress & Financial Control
  • Plan and manage project programmes, including labour, materials, subcontractors, and dependencies.
  • Track progress against programme, identify risks or delays, and implement corrective actions.
  • Control project costs against budget, including labour, materials, subcontractors, and variations.
  • Maintain accurate cost-to-complete and margin forecasts.
  • Ensure all variations and additional works are properly costed, approved, and recovered.
  • Work with finance/admin teams to support accurate invoicing and project reporting.
Delivery, Client & Team Management
  • Day-to-day on-site management of engineers and subcontractors.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients during project delivery.
  • Attend site and progress meetings and ensure actions are closed out.
  • Manage resources across multiple concurrent projects to ensure efficient delivery.
Technical & Compliance
  • Review and approve technical submittals, drawings, and system designs.
  • Ensure installations are delivered in line with relevant standards, legislation, and company procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of installed systems and recommend improvements or new products where appropriate.
Management & Continuous Improvement
  • Implement and maintain effective project management systems and controls.
  • Monitor and report on key project KPIs (programme, cost, margin, quality).
  • Liaise with other departmental managers to ensure aligned processes and efficient delivery.
  • Support internal initiatives including installation standards, NSI compliance, and subcontractor development.
Health & Safety
  • Ensure full compliance with the Company’s Health & Safety Policy and promote safe working practices on all sites.
Required Skills
  • Experience in Project Management delivering Security Systems (minimum 2 years).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite - Minimum of; Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Excellent Communication skills - Verbal and written.
  • Excellent Organizational Skills - Good eye for detail.
  • Positive Attitude - Keen to Learn.
  • Flexible approach to tasks in a growing company.
Desired Skills
  • Prince 2 or PMP Qualifications.
