Application Integration Engineer (Voice & Platform Systems)
Custodia is a UK based company, founded in 2017, with wider presence in North America, Europe and Asia both directly and through strategic partnerships.
Our current key offering is the CC1 (Compliance Cloud One) service which records, stores and normalizes any type of communications data.
This includes many common platforms such as phone email, SMS, phone calls, Microsoft Teams, Whats App and We Chat amongst many others.
This allows companies to communicate in a compliant manner, whilst driving greater data-driven insights from the data they already have to store.
We are looking for an
Application Integration Engineer to own and evolve our internal integration and QA lab environment, ensuring CC1 and connected systems can be configured, integrated, and validated end-to-end in realistic scenarios.
The Role
This is a hands-on technical engineering role focused on making sure our application ecosystem works as a complete integrated solution
- You will be responsible for the configuration, integration, and reliability of:
- the CC1 application (microservices and platform services)
- third-party integrations
- selected enterprise voice/communication systems
- You will act as the technical owner of our integration lab environment
, ensuring QA and R&D teams can rely on stable, realistic, and well-configured environments for validation and testing.
You will work closely with
- Platform/Dev Ops teams (infrastructure and deployments)
- Software Engineering (microservices and product features)
- QA teams (test execution and validation)
- Product teams (end-to-end feature validation)
Key Responsibilities
- Application & Platform Configuration (Core Focus)
- Configure CC1 application services across a microservice-based architecture
- Manage application-level configuration (tenants, users, roles, routing, feature flags, etc.)
- Integrate and configure third-party applications and services used by CC1
- Maintain realistic multi-tenant environments that reflect customer deployments
- Ensure end-to-end application behavior is consistent across environments
- System Integration (Including Voice Platforms)
• Support integration with enterprise communication systems such as
- Cisco CUCM
- Microsoft Teams Voice
- Cisco Webex Calling
- Other UC or contact center platforms where relevant
- Understand key configuration concepts (routing, users, policies, dial plans, integration points)
- Ensure correct end-to-end behavior between CC1 and external systems
- Integration Lab Ownership
- Own and maintain the CC1 integration and QA lab environment
- Ensure environments are stable, usable, and representative of real customer setups
- Support QA teams in reproducing and investigating complex issues
- Work with Engineering to validate new features in integrated environments
- Technical Problem Solving & Collaboration
- Work closely with developers to understand microservice interactions and dependencies
- Debug configuration and integration issues across multiple systems
- Document setup procedures, configurations, and integration patterns
- Help improve internal tooling and environment automation
What You Bring
We are looking for someone who enjoys working across application configuration, system integration, and complex environments .
Essential (Must Have)
- Experience with enterprise communication or complex application environments
• Exposure to systems such as
- Cisco CUCM, Microsoft Teams Voice, Webex Calling, Avaya, Genesys, or similar
- Strong understanding of application configuration concepts
- (users, routing, policies, tenants, etc.)
- Comfortable working with distributed systems (logs, APIs, configuration tools)
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting mindset
- Nice to Have
- Exposure to SIP-based systems (conceptual understanding is sufficient)
- Experience with Saa S, microservices, or cloud-native applications
- Understanding of authentication systems (OIDC, SAML, OAuth)
- Basic scripting or automation (Bash, Python, etc.)
