An opportunity has arisen to join the Valuation Advisory team at Cushman & Wakefield, based in Leeds. We are seeking a motivated and commercially minded surveyor to join our growing valuation team. This role is ideally suited to a recently qualified MRICS surveyor or someone with up to two years' post-qualification experience who is looking to develop their career within a leading global real estate advisory business.
The successful candidate will work alongside experienced valuation professionals, delivering high-quality valuation advice to a broad client base including lenders, investors, developers and property companies. This is an excellent opportunity to build technical expertise, gain exposure to a diverse range of valuation instructions, and develop your career within a supportive and collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake valuations for a variety of purposes, including:
- Secured lending
- Financial reporting
- Acquisitions and disposals
- Portfolio analysis
- Strategic advisory assignments
Core Duties
- Carry out property inspections and prepare valuation reports in accordance with RICS Red Book standards.
- Deliver high-quality valuation and advisory services across a broad range of commercial property assets.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through professional communication and excellent service delivery.
- Work closely with colleagues across agency, capital markets, lease advisory and valuation teams nationally.
- Build market knowledge to support valuation advice and identify emerging market trends.
- Contribute positively to a collaborative team environment while continuing to develop technical knowledge and professional expertise.
Skills & Experience
- MRICS qualified (or recently qualified).
- Ideally up to two years' post-qualification experience within commercial valuation.
- RICS Registered Valuer status is desirable but not essential.
- Experience preparing valuation reports for secured lending, financial reporting and advisory purposes.
- Strong analytical, organisational and report-writing skills.
- Commercial awareness with confidence in client-facing situations.
- Ability to manage workload effectively, working both independently and collaboratively.
- Full UK driving licence required.
