We are seeking an experienced candidate to join Cushman & Wakefield’s market leading Science & Innovation team, based in our new London West End offices, covering the UK markets. The team advises occupiers, investors, developers and operators across the science & innovation sector, providing a full spectrum of services including tenant representation, capital markets, leasing, development and strategic consultancy. The role will focus on proactive lead generation, relationship development, and early-stage client engagement to support the team in delivering real estate solutions to occupier clients. The successful candidate will have had experience in the sector and work well as part of a team, leveraging C&W’s global platform and data sources to identify leads and help generate pipeline revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential Science & Innovation occupier clients across the UK and European markets.
- Proactively engage occupier decision-makers (CEOs, CFOs, Heads of Real Estate, HR Directors) to introduce C&W’s advisory services.
- Qualify leads, arrange introductory meetings, and support the preparation of tailored pitch materials and proposals.
- Build and maintain relationships with occupiers, including any intermediaries, and industry contacts to generate new business opportunities.
- Represent C&W at networking events and conferences to raise brand awareness and develop new connections.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the London, National and European teams to collectively identify and align business development activity.
- Track and report progress against lead generation and conversion KPIs, maintaining accurate records in CRM systems.
- Track and update the team's main data with live market information.
- Prepare and produce high quality informative market research for clients and the market.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell when discussing a client’s requirements.
Qualifications/Experience Required
- Strong understanding or interest in the UK and European Science & Innovation industry and occupier landscape.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confident engaging senior stakeholders.
- Commercially astute, proactive, and results driven.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and market databases.
- Have worked in the Science & Innovation industry previously at an occupier or notable market participant.
- Strong track record in business development, ideally in the Science & Innovation sector.
- Exposure to corporate real estate or workplace strategy is beneficial but not required.
- Genuine interest and drive in helping occupiers align their real estate strategy with their business goals.
