Our four-week paid internship, commencing on Monday 22nd June and concluding on Friday 17th July, provides an enriching blend of learning and hands-on experience, offering a fantastic opportunity to explore the world of real estate through the lens of sustainability.

Whether you are pursuing a Real Estate degree or studying another subject but have a keen interest in sustainability within the property sector, this internship will help you gain valuable insights into the role of sustainability in commercial real estate.

Exceptional performance during the internship may result in an offer to join a future graduate scheme at the location where you complete your internship. You will work on a variety of projects, gaining practical experience, developing essential business skills, and learning how to advise clients on real estate matters. During the internship, you will attend client meetings, participate in site visits, and collaborate with fellow interns, expanding your professional network while deepening your understanding of the industry. You will be embedded within one team for the entire programme to gain in-depth expertise.

At Cushman & Wakefield, we work with leading investors, developers, and occupiers to manage and optimize real estate portfolios while driving sustainable outcomes. In our Sustainability team, you may advise clients at the corporate level on their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategies, focusing on improving the sustainability performance of portfolios and individual assets. Your work could involve enhancing building sustainability, creating healthier and more productive spaces, and driving positive social impacts. You will play a key role in transitioning clients to sustainable buildings and reducing their environmental footprint across the property lifecycle.

As an intern at Cushman & Wakefield, you will contribute to your team from the start, valued for your unique perspectives and insights. Our Sustainability Internship is open to students from all degree disciplines, as we value transferable skills from a range of fields. You do not need to be enrolled in a Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) accredited course to apply; your interest in sustainability and real estate is what matters most. However, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Expected 2:1 undergraduate degree classification (or equivalent MSc)
  • Be in your penultimate year of study. (Please indicate on your application form if you are a final year graduate but booked onto or planning to complete a Master’s next academic year).
  • Achieved at least a Grade C/4 in GCSE Maths and English
