Cushman & Wakefield’s London Offices Leasing team is continuing to grow following a strong period of activity across the Central London market. With an active pipeline of development instructions and leasing mandates, we are looking to appoint a Surveyor or Senior Surveyor to join our established team. Based across our London offices, the team provides leasing advice to a wide range of landlord clients, supporting projects from early-stage development through to marketing and transaction delivery.
This is a hands-on, client-focused role within Cushman & Wakefield’s London Offices Leasing team, where you will work as part of a wider group delivering leasing advice to a broad range of clients across Central London. The position offers a mix of responsibilities, including supporting Partners on large-scale development and leasing instructions, acting as a key client contact on smaller projects with increasing ownership and responsibility, and contributing to the effective running of team processes and systems alongside junior team members.
You will play an important role in delivering high-quality professional advice, maintaining strong client service standards, and supporting the overall performance of the team. As a Surveyor / Senior Surveyor, you will be part of a well-established and high-performing London platform, entrusted with upholding Cushman & Wakefield’s reputation and values while continuing to develop your experience and expertise within the office leasing market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of leasing advice across Central London office instructions
- Assist senior team members on large-scale development projects, including marketing strategies and client presentations
- Take responsibility for smaller leasing instructions, managing day-to-day activity with oversight from senior colleagues
- Act as a client contact on allocated projects, providing updates, responding to queries, and supporting decision-making
- Prepare marketing materials, reports, and leasing analysis
- Coordinate viewings and inspections, liaising with agents, landlords, and internal teams
- Support lease negotiations and transaction processes through to completion
- Maintain accurate records, reporting, and use of internal systems
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, professional standards, and risk guidelines
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business, including leasing, capital markets, and development teams
- Support and work closely with junior team members, including graduates
- Actively engage in professional development and CPD
Skills & Experience:
- Experience within Central London office leasing or a general practice background with exposure to transactional work
- Good understanding of the London office market and wider real estate sector
- Experience supporting client instructions in a professional or corporate environment
- Strong financial awareness and ability to support analysis and reporting
- Experience preparing clear, high-quality reports and marketing materials
- Good knowledge of relevant legislation and case law
- MRICS preferred but not essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good negotiation skills and commercial awareness
- Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the ability to manage multiple instructions
- Ability to produce accurate, professional documentation
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
