Corporate Counsel – Fixed Term (12 Months)

Company: Cushman & Wakefield EMEA Legal team

The role offers a unique opportunity to develop a legal career within one of the world's largest global real estate services firms, supporting a dynamic and fast-growing business while contributing to the delivery of an exceptional client experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proactive, positive mindset and a strong commercial approach to legal problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide commercial legal support across multiple service lines, including Asset Services, Occupier Services, Integrated Facilities Management, Project & Development Services, Brokerage & Capital Markets, Consultancy, and Valuation & Advisory.
  • Advise on both contentious and non-contentious matters, including support on M&A and other corporate transactions.
  • Draft, negotiate, and finalise a wide range of commercial client contracts and responses to RFPs.
  • Negotiate and draft commercial supply agreements, including licensing, consulting, and services contracts.
  • Manage and resolve claims and disputes, coordinating with external counsel and insurers where required.
  • Liaise with legal colleagues and business stakeholders globally to support cross-border and international agreements.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and commercial risks associated with contractual arrangements.
  • Maintain and manage internal governance, controls, and approval processes for contract execution.
  • Deliver legal training and guidance to commercial teams across the business.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of legal precedents and knowledge resources.
  • Support the supervision and development of junior members of the legal team.
Skills & Experience
  • Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years' relevant post-qualification experience (or equivalent).
  • Strong experience drafting, negotiating, and advising on commercial contracts with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to manage and resolve legal disputes effectively.
  • Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to deliver pragmatic legal advice in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills with a practical, solutions-focused approach.
  • Strong judgement and ability to identify and manage legal risk.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with legal and non-legal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a global, matrixed organisation.
  • Construction and/or real estate experience is desirable but not essential.
