The Business Development Coordinator will drive growth by delivering data driven sector and client insights, managing bid coordination, and ensuring CRM and pipeline integrity. The role blends analytical depth with operational excellence, enabling sector leaders, account managers, and business development teams to engage clients with precision. A key focus is partnering closely with research and marketing colleagues to translate market intelligence, campaign outputs, and thought leadership into actionable sales strategies that accelerate pipeline creation and conversion.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed client and sector trend analysis to identify emerging opportunities, risks, and whitespace.
- Support growth planning via market share analysis, client segmentation, and revenue potential modelling.
- Carry out internal and competitor benchmarking to produce prioritised client lists.
- Leverage inâhouse research reports, thought leadership, and market intelligence to craft dataâdriven talking points and sector narratives that strengthen client conversations.
- Work with research teams to shape insight needs, request bespoke analysis, and ensure sales teams receive timely, relevant intelligence.
- Identify crossâselling opportunities across accounts, adjacencies, and complementary service lines.
- Monitor competitor activity, market shifts, and client developments to inform strategic decisionâmaking.
- Coordinate client feedback loops, surveys, and postâengagement reviews, working with client, marketing and research leads to incorporate insights into future sector strategies.
- Manage bid coordination processes, ensuring timely, compliant, and highâquality submissions.
- Maintain CRM accuracy and integrity; produce pipeline health, forecasting insights, and performance dashboards.
- Prepare clientâfacing materials, proposals, and presentations aligned with sector strategy and brand guidelines.
- Coordinate internal meetings, client engagements, and followâup actions to ensure momentum across pursuits.
- Partner with account managers for centrally managed clients to prepare tailored insights for strategic meetings.
- Act as a liaison between sector teams and central functions (marketing, research, pitch, comms) to ensure alignment on sector priorities and messaging.
- Follow up on leads generated by marketing campaigns, events, and research publications; track outcomes and performance trends.
- Maintain and refresh target client lists, ensuring alignment with sector strategy and market shifts.
- Support the adoption of sales tools and best practices across the sector.
- Identify opportunities to streamline sales processes, improve data quality, and enhance collaboration across teams.
- Translate insights into actionable sales strategies, prioritising pursuits and coordinating client conversations.
- Support sector leadership in quarterly and annual planning, including pursuit and pipeline progress reviews, account planning cycles, and performance reporting.
