ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an insights expert, with deep understanding of consumers and strong commercial instincts. In your current client‑side role:
- Do you find yourself rewriting agency outputs to make them actually useful?
- Frustrated by data‑heavy work with no clear “so what”?
- Tired of spending more time on alignment than actual thinking?
- Do you feel stuck using the same methodologies for very different problems?
- Constantly asked why research is slow, expensive, or not actionable enough?
- Miss seeing your work actually influence decisions or show up in market?
If that resonates, this role is built for you. We’re looking for a Senior Insights Lead to oversee high‑impact work that turns complex digital data into clear, actionable insight. You’ll be accountable for delivering outcomes for clients and the business, not just outputs, while helping shape the standard of thinking across the team.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Lead High‑Impact & Ensure Insight Quality of Client Work
- Own and lead the delivery of global, regional, or market level insight programmes.
- Accountable for quality assurance and maintaining high standards across all projects.
- Move beyond ‘findings’ to ensure work lands with a “so what” and clear actions.
- Act as a senior client partner, building strong, trusted relationships at sponsor level.
- Lead problem‑solving and bring clarity to ambiguous business questions.
- Drive strong storytelling, helping teams translate data into compelling narratives.
- Elevate thinking and set the standard for quality across projects.
- Apply structured analytical approaches (e.g. clustering, segmentation) to large digital datasets (social, search, reviews) to identify patterns.
- Apply qualitative frameworks (e.g. cultural frameworks, semiotics) to interpret data and generate insight.
- Translate complex, unstructured data into clear, actionable narratives.
- Ensure outputs are robust and credible through sound analytical thinking.
- Work with data science teams to develop, refine, and scale analytical approaches where needed.
- Lead project teams and create a culture of high standards and accountability.
- Coach and develop junior team members on following:
- Analytical thinking and curiosity to investigate and ask ‘why?’
- Curating insights and story‑telling.
- Visualisation and landing insights.
- Influencing and driving decision making.
- Play a leading role in business development, from shaping opportunities to pitching.
- Identify ways to grow existing accounts through better, more impactful work.
- Contribute to the commercial success of the business.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Strong experience in consumer insights, analytics, or strategy.
- 6+ years experience on client‑side or research agency‑side.
- Proven track record to lead complex projects and deliver actionable insight.
- Someone who naturally pushes for clarity, simplicity, and impact in their work.
- Excellent storytelling and communication skills.
- Confident and comfortable engaging with senior client stakeholders.
- Strong commercial instinct and understanding of how insights drive business decisions.
- Background in traditional market research or consumer insight teams is essential.
- Experience with digital data not essential (but a plus).
- A knack for design and data visualisation is also a strong plus.
WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE DIFFERENT
- You’ll focus on doing great insight work, not navigating layers of internal alignment.
- You’ll have the space to think, challenge, and shape the work.
- You’ll see your work influence real decisions and innovation.
- You’ll be able to work on leading‑edge digital first consumer research.
- You’ll be shaping the future of modern consumer research with AI and technology.
- You’ll be part of a growing consultancy, where you can shape how things are done.
