We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist for a fixed term contract of 6 months within our People Operations team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage outsourced processing of UK and Lithuania payrolls, working with our EOR partner in five additional European countries.
  • Work closely with payroll providers (CloudPay, Grant Thornton) to ensure accurate, timely, end-to-end payroll processing.
  • Process starters, leavers, and contractual changes.
  • Calculate holiday pay, SMP, SPP and SSP.
  • Complete P45s, P60s and P11Ds.
  • Manage auto-enrolment activities.
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and legal requirements.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, manage changes in employment status, new hires, and terminations.
  • Handle pay-rolled benefits administration (pensions, deductions).
  • Address payroll-related queries promptly.
  • Coordinate closely with People and Finance teams, ensuring seamless information flow and accuracy of payroll data, and supporting annual audits.
  • Independently manage payroll operations, proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact employees or business operations.
  • Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external payroll providers.

  • Payrolls across the UK, Lithuania, and EOR partners processed accurately and on time, with strong ownership of deadlines and minimal errors.
  • Payroll providers and stakeholders effectively managed, queries resolved efficiently, payroll activities run smoothly.
  • Processes remain compliant with regulations and reporting requirements, supported by accurate records and strong attention to detail.
  • Payroll operations managed independently and proactively, issues resolved before impacting employees or business operations.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience running payrolls across multiple geographies, including UK payroll regulations.
  • Experience working with outsourced payroll providers and third-party partners.
  • Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality.
  • Proven experience with CloudPay and/or HiBob (advantageous).
  • Knowledge of auto-enrolment and global payroll practices beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail, track record of payroll accuracy, data integrity.
  • Excellent communication skills, confidence handling payroll queries.
  • Highly organized, comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership and deliver with minimal supervision.
