Requirements

  • You will be an Incorporated Engineer with Membership of CIBSE and a willingness to work toward Chartered Engineer status with Membership of CIBSE.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and deliver mechanical services, including advice, design, project administration, and maintenance, to the Council, its service departments, and external agencies.
  • Support the delivery of asset decarbonisation and expand existing heat networks through the implementation of the Local Area Energy Plan (LAEP).
  • Lead and coordinate teams of professional and technical staff in managing departmental policies and procedures.

The Individual

  • Candidates should have relevant experience in designing and implementing architectural/building construction projects, managing projects and staff, and possess AutoCAD skills.
  • Project management experience, including budgeting, partnering, programming, and knowledge of JCT contracts, CDM 2015 regulations, and Microsoft Office 365 tools, is essential.
  • Strong time management, negotiation skills, and the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and clients are required.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of technical standards, statutory requirements, presentation skills, and the ability to undertake site visits, including working at height and in confined spaces, are also necessary.
