Responsibilities

You will deliver quality education to assigned pupils and contribute, within the collegiate ethos, to the professional life of the school.

The Individual

You will demonstrate application and knowledge of Curriculum for Excellence and evidence of appropriate professional learning in a range of areas. In addition you will have a positive and caring approach and commitment to young people, have good communication/interpersonal skills and relate well to others. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.

  • GTCS Registered (Secondary), with a knowledge of the relevant curriculum area and an awareness of the main current issues in Scottish education.
