Job Description

You will have an HND or equivalent qualification in an environment related subject area.
Responsibilities
You will develop coherent environmental strategies aligned with local and national policies. You will lead in the development of performance-based monitoring systems and the implementation of relevant national and local quality standards under a framework of asset management, which delivers appropriate provision of parks, open spaces and streetscape in Dundee. You will lead/oversee Events/Activities/Sports booking processes within parks and open spaces.
The Individual
You will have experience in the preparation of strategies aligned with local and national policies, proven knowledge and experience of open space/park management, experience of monitoring maintenance standards in parks/open spaces, and an understanding of parks/open space service delivery models. You will have excellent report writing skills including the ability to draft management plans, action plans, and briefing papers, significant experience in GIS or other relevant IT-based models, and the ability to manage and interpret data sets. You will demonstrate the ability to implement, manage, and deliver projects on time and on budget. You will have good presentation and communication skills with the ability to translate data into planning for improved service delivery and the ability to apply/translate current local and national initiatives to a Dundee context, understanding of contract management, and the ability to develop innovative approaches to projects. You will have a flexible approach to working hours and a current driving licence.
