- It includes oversight of the Scottish Road Works Register and acts as the lead liaison with the Scottish Road Works Commissioner.
- The postholder advises multi‑agency safety advisory groups on network implications for major events and contributes to the coordination and maintenance of the Street Gazetteer.
- Responsibilities also include supervising staff who handle claims and customer enquiries, reviewing existing policies, and preparing committee reports as required.
- The role leads the development of the Network Management Quality System and ensures timely delivery of statutory reporting functions.
- It also involves financial monitoring of budget spend and projections, including the raising and approval of orders.
The Individual:
- You will have management and supervisory experience along with experience in the design and implementation of road maintenance projects.
- You will have good communication skills both written and oral, problem‑solving abilities, and be customer‑focused and computer literate.
- A flexible approach to working hours, capacity to work unsociable hours if required, and the ability to undertake site visits and surveys is essential.
- A full driving licence is required.
