Based at Harris Academy you will work full time, 35 hrs per week on a permanent basis. In addition, St Paul's Academy has a full time, 35 hours per week temporary post until December 2026. RequirementsYou will be GTCS Registered (Secondary), have knowledge of relevant curriculum areas and an awareness of main current issues in Scottish education. Applications will be accepted from teachers who are currently provisionally registered with the GTCS and who expect to gain full registration at the end of this current session. You will also be required to obtain RC Church approval.
ResponsibilitiesYou will deliver quality education to assigned pupils and contribute, within the collegiate ethos, to the professional life of the school.
The IndividualYou will also demonstrate application and knowledge of Curriculum for Excellence and have evidence of appropriate Professional Learning in a range of areas. In addition you will have a positive and caring approach and commitment to young people, have good communication/interpersonal skills and relate well to others.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will require to join the PVG Scheme to undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
