Working in a hybrid style, based at home and Dundee House (50 North Lindsay Street, Dundee) office, you will work full time, 37 hours per week.
Requirements
- You will have an HNC (or equivalent) in Procurement, Business, Administration or other related subjects.
Responsibilities
- You will support the Procurement team to deliver non-regulated procurement activity including sourcing arrangements, in conjunction with Procurement Assistants.
- Contribute to the collation of the data for the Corporate Procurement Strategy and Annual Procurement report.
- The Procurement Officer will provide competent procurement support and advice to stakeholders throughout Dundee City Council, in line with the Council's Contract Standing Orders.
The Individual
- You will have administrative or other relevant professional experience with experienced use of Microsoft 365 packages (or equivalent) - i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, databases and presentation software.
- Proven ability to generate and present management information using IT systems is also essential.
- You will have excellent organisational skills, with a proven capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively, and ability to apply a high level of accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of work.
- You will also have the ability to identify problems and apply logical and creative thinking to develop effective solutions.
- You will be proficient in handling and maintaining detailed financial or statistical data, and have proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work within tight and conflicting deadlines.
