A M&E Contractor based in Peterborough are looking for a Working Electrical Supervisor to join their team on a manned manufacturing site.

The role would be initially working alongside electricians to enable the understanding of site and process knowledge, with development of the role over a period of time, aiding and working closely with the Project Manager to ensure smooth running and delivery of both projects to the value of £250,000 and reactive day to day works.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate who is looking to progress their career from an Electrician / Electrical Engineer to a supervisory position and can demonstrate expertise in providing technical support on a range of installation projects and reactive works in the industrial / manufacturing sector.

As the Working Electrical Supervisor, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Leading teams of directly employed electricians, managing several small to medium sized projects.
  • Organising materials and sub-contractors.
  • Creating and delivering job pack information to engineers.
  • Creating risk assessments.
  • Ensuring health and safety is always maintained.
  • Deliver toolbox talks.
  • Attend site meetings.
  • Allocate the workload accordingly, meeting customer deadlines and always maintaining standards and quality of workmanship.
  • Assist the Project Manager in delivery of projects to timescales and budgets.
  • Ensure completion of jobs, including snagging check and that test results of the inspection and testing carried out and is recorded accurately and passed to the QS for processing.

Successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Experience in the manufacturing / industrial industry.
  • Current electrical engineering trade qualifications: 18th Edition, 2391 or equivalent, IPAF, PASMA, C&G - NVQ L3 & Gold Card.
  • Ideally some supervision experience in an industrial environment.
  • The ability to work under pressure to meet set deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
