Curve Recruitment are working with a leading main contractor who are looking to recruit a Graduate / Trainee Site Manager to join their ever expanding team in Cambridge. This opportunity would suit someone recently out of college or university with a degree in Construction Management, Building, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline who is keen to develop a long-term career within construction.
You will work alongside experienced Site Managers and Project Managers, gaining hands-on experience while receiving structured training and mentorship. You will gain exposure to the full construction lifecycle, working on projects valued up to £15m across a range of sectors including education, commercial, and residential developments.
The Role
- Support the delivery of construction projects on site while developing your management skills.
- Assist with the day-to-day running of construction sites.
- Support Site Managers with coordinating subcontractors and trades.
- Monitor site progress to ensure projects remain on programme.
- Help maintain high standards of health and safety on site.
- Assist with quality checks to ensure work meets required standards.
- Attend site meetings and learn how projects are delivered from start to completion.
- Support with site documentation, reports and daily site records.
- Develop a strong understanding of construction processes and site operations.
About You
- Degree qualified in Construction Management, Building, Civil Engineering or similar would be advantageous but not essential.
- Keen to develop a career in site management and project delivery.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Proactive with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic IT skills.
- Full UK driving licence beneficial but not essential.
