Curve Recruitment are pleased to be working with a highly respected main contractor specialising in refurbishment and fit-out schemes across East Anglia. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are now looking to appoint an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of projects across the region. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has gained some experience within construction and is looking to develop into a Project Manager role with a business that can offer strong support, exposure and progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers with the delivery of projects from pre-construction through to completion
- Assist with programme, procurement, cost control and project reporting
- Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants and site teams
- Help ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality
- Attend client, site and progress meetings where required
- Assist with variations, valuations and general commercial administration
- Support Health & Safety, CDM and quality procedures across projects
- Help identify and resolve issues that could impact programme or delivery
- Gain exposure across the full project lifecycle with increasing responsibility over time
About You
- Exposure to refurbishment, fit-out, commercial or design & build projects would be advantageous
- Keen to develop a long-term career within project management
- Good understanding of construction processes and how projects are delivered
- Comfortable communicating with clients, subcontractors and site teams
- Organised, practical and willing to take responsibility
- Able to read and understand drawings and technical information
- Construction-related qualification preferred, although relevant experience will also be considered
- SMSTS or SSSTS and First Aid would be advantageous
- Full UK driving licence
