An M&E and HVAC Building Services Contractor based near Newmarket is looking for a proactive and experienced HVAC Manager to lead and develop a growing HVAC team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HVAC professional with strong leadership qualities and commercial awareness to take responsibility for projects from initial enquiry and planning through to completion, therefore require strong technical knowledge across HVAC systems, client-facing skills and the ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously.
As the HVAC Manager, you will oversee the delivery of HVAC installation, maintenance and small works projects across commercial and residential sites.
You will manage engineers, coordinate resources, oversee procurement and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget.
You will work closely with clients, main contractors, suppliers and the wider M&E Projects division, while also helping to develop new business opportunities and strengthen existing client relationships.
As the HVAC Manager, you will have the following responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all HVAC installation, small works and maintenance projects across commercial and residential sites.
- Lead, motivate, and support a team of HVAC engineers to ensure timely and on-budget delivery.
- Prepare quotations, plan schedules, allocate resources and oversee project budgets and timelines.
- Manage projects from initial enquiry and quotation through to procurement, installation, completion and handover.
- Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Report on project progress and provide feedback to Directors.
- Generate and develop new business leads and expand on existing clients building strong relationships.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, F-Gas legislation and company standards.
- Liaise and work closely with MEPH projects division.
- Successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience:
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC and mechanical building services systems (air conditioning, VRV/VRF, ventilation, heating and associated mechanical services) and their installation methods.
- Proven experience managing HVAC installation, maintenance or service projects.
- Previous experience leading and managing engineers or an HVAC team.
- Experience managing projects from conception to completion, including quoting, procurement, project management and delivery.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage project budgets and costs.
- Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to work under pressure to meet set deadlines.
- Strong IT skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
