Job Title: Mechanical Small Works Manager\\n\\nLocation: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire\\n\\nSalary: £55,000 – £60,000 depending on experience + bonus\\n\\nBenefits: Car allowance, 23 days holiday + Bank Holidays, pension\\n\\nAn M&E Contractor based in Cambridge, are looking for a proactive Mechanical Small Works Manager to oversee and deliver a range of small-scale mechanical projects up to the value of £100,000 from initial enquiry to completion, therefore require strong technical knowledge, client-facing skills and the ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously.\\n\\nThey deliver a comprehensive range of services from complete installations of heating, hot and cold-water systems and gas pipework to control system upgrades and refurbishments across a variety of sectors including domestic, commercial, schools, hospitals and MOD.\\n\\nAs the Mechanical Small Works Manager, you will have the following responsibilities:\\n\\n * Manage day-to-day operations of small works mechanical projects up to the value of £100,000.\\n\\n * Oversee site operatives and subcontractors to ensure timely and on-budget delivery.\\n\\n * Prepare quotations, estimates, and project schedules.\\n\\n * Generate and develop new business leads and expand on existing clients building strong relationships.\\n\\n * Ensure all work is compliant with current mechanical regulations and health & safety standards.\\n\\n * Conduct site inspections and quality control checks ensuring all works meets industry standards, regulations and client’s specifications.\\n\\n * Maintain accurate project records, documentation and reporting.\\n\\n * Ensure a smooth mechanical handover to the client and provide aftercare support.\\n\\n * Liaise and work closely with MEPH large projects division.\\n\\nSuccessful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience:\\n\\n * Overall knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of mechanical systems and their installation methods.\\n\\n * Experience managing domestic and commercial projects up to £100,000.\\n\\n * Experience managing projects from cradle to grave including estimating, project management and procurement.\\n\\n * Excellent project and people management skills.\\n\\n * Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.\\n\\n * The ability to work under pressure to meet set deadlines.\\n\\n * Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.\\n\\n * Strong IT skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.\\n\\n * Valid SMSTS, SSSTS, Gold CSCS Skills Card.\\n\\n * Relevant mechanical industry qualifications.\\n\\nPlease contact Adam Brown on (phone number removed) / (phone number removed) for more information about this role or if you are interested in a new opportunity within the Building Services sector (Mechanical Small Works Manager, Mechanical Special Projects Manager, Mechanical Small Works Project Manager, Mechanical Project Manager, Mechanical Site Manager, Mechanical Supervisor)
