A national M&E Contractor is looking for a motivated and committed Electrical Project Manager to join their expanding team in Kings Lynn, Norfolk. As the Electrical Project Manager, you will be delivering LV electrical works on projects across a range of sectors including utilities, industrial and commercial. The position is office based but will require frequent travel across the East Anglia region to carry out client meetings, surveys, inspections and audits.

As the Electrical Project Manager, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Liaison with clients, supply chain, delivery teams and management.
  • Survey, design and pricing against client requirements and sector standards.
  • Financial management of projects including invoicing and reporting.
  • Specification and ordering of materials.
  • Preparation of method statements and risk assessments.
  • Monitor project programme and project planning.
  • Management and briefing of installation personnel.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality control checks ensuring all works meets industry standards, regulations and client’s specifications.
  • Resolving installation and access issues.
  • Ensure the projects are completed according to schedule and budget, undertaking effective planning.
  • Completion and submission of as-installed documentation.

Successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • You will have SMSTS, ECS card and relevant industry qualification.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing electrical projects up to £2m (M&E).
  • Effective planning and project management skills.
  • Working for a Building Services Contractor at a similar level.
  • Overall knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of electrical systems and their installation methods.
  • Consistently good financial returns on projects, considering all relevant factors.
  • Good people management and motivational skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure to meet set deadlines.
  • The ability to plan, co-ordinate, and prioritise workloads.
  • Strong results orientation.
