Role Overview

As a General Operative, you will play an important role in the day-to-day running of the site, supporting the wider team with a variety of practical tasks to ensure the project operates safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on and varied position, ideally suited to someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in their work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with general site duties and housekeeping.
  • Maintaining clean, safe and organised working areas.
  • Supporting site logistics and material movements.
  • Assisting trades and site management teams as required.
  • Helping to ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
  • Carrying out routine manual handling and labouring tasks.
  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the project.

Person Specification

  • Ability to pass an Advanced DBS check (mandatory for work on RAF sites).
  • Previous experience in a construction, labouring or general operative role is beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong awareness of health and safety practices.
  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking with a positive attitude.
  • Comfortable working within a secure environment with strict procedures.
  • Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual tasks.
