Curve Recruitment are proud to be partnering with a Tier One M&E Contractor in their search for a Senior Electrical Project Manager to join their management team working on a M&E, shell & core project in Cambridge with future projects covering various sectors including commercial, education, healthcare, pharmaceutical laboratories and data centres across East Anglia and the surrounding regions.

This is a key leadership role within the project team, responsible to lead and oversee the project delivery from pre-construction to completion ensuring the high profile project is completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading contractor and play a key role in delivering complex, high-profile projects across multiple critical sectors.

As the Senior Electrical Project Manager, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Oversee and lead the preparation and execution of the electrical element of a large scale high-profile commercial project.
  • Co-ordinate with project management teams, sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Provide leadership to Electrical Project Manager and Electrical Engineers.
  • Financial management of project, including managing budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring solutions are implemented effectively.
  • Maintain close working relationships with clients, stakeholders, sub-contractors and internal teams to manage progress, challenges and resolutions.

Successful applicants will have the following experience:

  • Significant experience in a senior electrical leadership role within large-scale M&E delivery.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex electrical project with values £10M+.
  • Overall knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of electrical systems, construction practices and industry standards.
  • Effective planning and project management skills, including planning, scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to achieve project goals.
  • The ability to work under pressure to meet set deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), and relevant electrical qualification.
