£50,000 - £55,000 + package

Curve recruitment are pleased to be working with a highly respected main contractor specialising in refurbishment and fit-out schemes across Cambridge and East Anglia as a whole. The business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, well-run schemes for a loyal client base. Due to continued growth and a healthy pipeline of secured work, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to oversee multiple projects and play a key role in the next phase of their development. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager who is looking to join a contractor with a great pipeline of work and a clear identity in the market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality
  • Lead site teams, subcontractors and consultants throughout the project
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and act as the main point of contact
  • Monitor programme, cost, procurement and project risk
  • Manage variations, valuations and support final account delivery
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, CDM and quality procedures
  • Provide clear reporting on project progress, commercial performance and key issues
  • Support tendering, estimating and continuous improvement where required

About You

  • Comfortable delivering refurbishment, fit-out, commercial or design & build projects
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, programme and project delivery
  • Confident managing subcontractors, site teams and client relationships
  • Commercially aware and comfortable dealing with variations, costs and project reporting
  • Able to read and understand drawings, specifications and technical information
  • Organised, practical and able to deal with problems as they arise
  • Strong communicator who works well with clients, consultants and internal teams
  • Construction qualification preferred, although strong relevant experience will also be considered
  • SMSTS or SSSTS and First Aid advantageous
  • Temporary Works Coordinator would be advantageous
  • Full UK driving licence
