Job Title: Domestic Gas Engineer Location: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 Hours: 8am to 4:30pm Package: Company van, fuel card A well-established local maintenance and service business is looking for an experienced Domestic Gas Engineer to join their team, carrying out gas servicing, maintenance and repairs across residential properties throughout Cambridge and the surrounding areas. The company also works closely with a variety of residential letting agencies, looking after their property portfolios and providing a reliable maintenance and repair service to landlords and tenants. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out annual gas safety checks, servicing, fault finding and reactive repairs on domestic heating systems and appliances. This is a customer-facing role, so the ability to communicate professionally with clients including tenants, letting agents and landlords is important. The company is looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is reliable and can work independently while maintaining a high standard of service. The Domestic Gas Engineer will have the following duties and responsibilities: * Carry out annual gas safety checks and servicing of domestic gas appliances and heating systems. * Diagnose and repair faults with boilers, heating systems and associated controls. * Carry out reactive maintenance and breakdown repairs. * Complete minor installation and replacement works where required. * Complete relevant paperwork and service reports accurately. * Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with current legislation and Gas Safe requirements. * Manage daily workload effectively and provide a professional service to customers. Successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience: * Domestic ACS Gas qualifications. * Gas Safe registered. * Experience servicing, maintaining and repairing domestic boilers and heating systems. * Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills. * Previous experience working in residential properties. * Good customer service and communication skills. * Reliable, organised and able to work independently.
