Trainee / Graduate Quantity Surveyor £29,000 – £34,000 + package Bourne, Lincolnshire Are you looking to start your career in Quantity Surveying with an established regional developer? Curve Recruitment are working with a well-established regional developer who are looking to appoint a Trainee / Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is a great opportunity for someone at the start of their QS career to join an established developer and gain broad commercial experience across the full development process. You’ll work alongside an experienced commercial team, gaining hands-on exposure to the full project lifecycle with plenty of opportunity to learn, develop and progress your career. The Role As a Trainee / Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will be supported while developing your experience across areas including: * Assisting with cost planning and cost control * Supporting the procurement and management of subcontractor packages * Assisting with valuations, variations and final accounts * Maintaining cost reports, budgets and commercial records * Supporting monthly reporting and forecasting * Assisting with subcontractor payments and commercial administration * Attending site visits and project meetings * Working closely with site and commercial teams throughout the project lifecycle * Developing a strong understanding of construction costs, materials and build processes Person Specification * Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related subject * Ideally some previous construction, placement or commercial experience * Strong numerical and organisational skills * IT skills, particularly Excel * Communication skills and a willingness to learn * Commercially minded with good attention to detail * Positive attitude and keen to develop a long-term career in Quantity Surveying * Full UK driving licence What’s on Offer * Competitive salary of £29,000 – £34,000 depending on experience * Opportunity to develop within an established regional developer * Support and mentoring from a friendly and experienced commercial team * Great exposure to the full development and construction process * Clear long-term career progression * Company benefits and pension * Generous holiday allowance Apply For further information or a confidential discussion, please apply directly or contact Martin Lively at Curve Recruitment.
