We are looking for a Management Accountant to join our Christchurch team! In this role, you will be responsible for segments of the general accounting function. Supervises the maintenance of one or more accounting systems directly in accordance with GAAP and any other applicable policies, procedures, and regulations. Ensures integration of data produced into systems and supports objectives of financial analysts. Ensures the accurate compilation, performance analysis, and reporting of management accounts. Participates in annual audits and special projects. Responsible for maintaining accurate records of earnings, profits, cash balance and other financial results.

Your Challenge:
- Maintains general and subsidiary ledgers of the facility, preparing operating and financial statements. (20%)
- Assists in the development of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting (10%)
- Assists with the installation and maintenance of new accounting procedures and controls. (20%)
- Directs fixed asset control and depreciation, accrual to meet anticipated liabilities, preparation of general tax reports such as those for sales, payroll, and personal property taxes, and payable/receivables. (10%)
- Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting. (20%)
- Develops and mentors team members across a variety of key accounting functions (20%)
What You Bring:
- 2 years PQE
- Experience with complex ERP systems
- Experience in identifying and resolving complex accounting issues and discrepancies.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Understanding of relevant accounting regulations, compliance requirements, and internal controls.
- Proven ability to develop and mentor a team of accountants.
