We are looking for an Area Sales Manager to join our UK and Ireland based team! An exciting and challenging opportunity to join the global Sales organization of Curtiss-Wright Defence Solutions.

Location: UK Remote - Ideal Geo Location – within 90 minutes of Cardiff, Wales or Dublin Ireland – Remote, with expectation of 50% travel to customer sites and CW sites.

Your Challenge:

  • Internal and external stakeholder management to drive successful sales outcomes through the full sales lifecycle
  • Owning and managing a rolling 3 year forecast to accurately deliver Order Intake for future business planning
  • Manage large and established accounts across Europe
  • Identify and create opportunities for future sales and growth
  • Work closely with Bid Management to lead and coordinate bid activity
  • Communicating and meeting with a wide range of account stakeholders
  • Develop & maintain face to face relationships with customers and will necessitate overseas travel when required (likely, a few times a month)
  • Build and manage a sales pipeline (including creation and management of account plans and strategies for targeted customers)
  • Understand the requirements from end users and relevant stakeholders, and be the voice of the customer within the Company
  • Manage and support established business/customers to enable retention & ensure full penetration

What You Bring:

  • Past relative experience of selling into or working with Defence and Aerospace OEMs who supply Radars, Aircraft Electronic Systems, Electronic Warfare or Mechanized Land Armoured Vehicles (desired)
  • Proven track record of sales/orders success in a competitive Mil/Commercial Aero or Mil Land environment
  • Familiarity with the usage of CRM systems, the proven ability to foster discipline and generate/create bidding opportunities with major OEM accounts. Past dealings (as a supplier) with Airbus, Thales, Leonardo, highly desired
  • A proven track record in managing large sales accounts
  • 7 to 10 years in Sales Account Management
