We are looking for a Design Assurance Engineer to join our Christchurch, UK location!
As a Design Assurance Engineer, you will ensure that our work complies with quality and regulatory standards. This is an opportunity to impact a global organization pushing technological boundaries.
Your responsibilities include planning and conducting quality assurance audits on system, hardware, firmware, and software development activities, as well as leading process improvement initiatives. We seek candidates with a background in quality or design assurance.

You will be responsible for maintaining and deploying company procedures, codes of practice, and guidance materials relevant to the Engineering department.
Plan and execute quality assurance audits to assess compliance with company standards.
Perform objective reviews of engineering outputs for compliance.
Participate in the engineering change control board, approving change requests.
Address non-compliance issues effectively within the department or company levels.
Provide feedback on quality assurance activities to management and staff.
Coordinate with external auditors and host their visits.
Ensure quality records are properly maintained and archived.
Play a key role in process improvement activities.
Report directly to the Chief Engineer regarding engineering quality issues and, when necessary, to the Head of Programmes & Engineering for unresolved issues.
What You Bring
Broad engineering knowledge to communicate effectively across disciplines.
Experience in a quality or assurance role, preferably in aerospace, or familiarity with RTCA DO-178B/C and DO-254 standards.
Educational background in computer science, engineering, or sciences.
Knowledge of aerospace standards such as AS9100, ARP4754A, RTCA DO-254, and DO-178B/C.
Experience with configuration management and product lifecycle management tools.
Excellent social skills, confidence in communication, and the ability to collaborate and make pragmatic decisions considering compliance, cost, and risk.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Highly ambitious and self-motivated.
