In this role you will be primarily responsible for preparation of UK corporate income tax returns and assistance with RDEC claims for multiple UK entities. The role also assists in dealing with tax queries by business units and supporting UK tax audits. The position reports to the Senior Tax Director and is under the direction of the International Tax Manager who is responsible for UK compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare UK corporate income tax returns for the UK companies as well as assist with return to accrual reconciliations and group payments.
  • Support annual Research and Development Expenditure Credit (RDEC) and Transfer Pricing reporting process for the UK companies.
  • Review periodic corporate tax account and VAT account reconciliations and miscellaneous tax compliance.
  • Assist with quarterly and year-end tax accounting for the UK entities for US GAAP purposes.
  • Prepare Corporate Interest Restriction Return (CIR) and perform interest deductibility calculations.
  • Research and prepare responses to VAT and other tax queries.
  • Keep up to date on proposed tax legislation by HMRC to assist in measuring impact on the UK Group, its customers and employees.
  • Assist with income tax computations for UK Statutory Reporting.
  • Assist in supporting HMRC Income Tax and VAT audits.

Qualifications

  • 4-6 years working experience.
  • CIOT qualified.
  • Knowledge of Excel.
  • A dedication to excellence and solid team playing.
  • Eye for detail, desire for continued learning and process improvements and ability to learn quickly.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication as well as research skills.
