We are recruiting for a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager or Manager to join a prestigious, well-established accountancy practice at its office in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity to join an independent firm that is continuing to enjoy growth within its Corporate Tax Team and this role can offer progression potential within the firm.
The practice is looking for experienced corporate tax candidates to join the firm at either Assistant Manager or Manager level; hence the wide salary range being advertised and the role will be split approximately 70% compliance work and 30% advisory.
This progressive firm will offer the Corporate Tax Assistant Manager or Manager a competitive salary, depending upon experience, and good benefits package including flexible and hybrid working, enhanced parental leave, private medical insurance, death in service benefit, loans, social events, cycle to work scheme and other perks.
As Corporate Tax Assistant Manager or Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with Partners and Managers, on a portfolio of existing clients, ranging from owner-managed companies to larger firms across a variety of industries.
- Carry out and oversee the corporate tax compliance work for clients and advising where appropriate.
- Coaching and supporting team members, providing on-the-job training for developing colleagues, and acting as a positive role model for the team.
- Developing relationships with clients and contacts.
- Act with the firm's best interests in mind and with integrity in all dealings with colleagues and clients.
- Identifying business development opportunities.
- Demonstrate understanding of the different types of risk, consider and manage risk in all interactions with clients.
- Provide a solution-based approach to problem solving on client assignments, identifying areas requiring improvement in the clients' business processes where appropriate.
- Taking primary responsibility for financial performance on your client and project work.
- Providing and being receptive to regular and constructive feedback and continually developing skills and knowledge of yourself and the team.

- ACA/CTA or equivalent qualification.
- Significant corporate tax and accounting experience on a range of advisory and compliance projects gained within a UK accountancy practice environment.
- Solid understanding of UK corporate tax rules, as well as a good grasp of UKGAAP and its application to tax accounting.
- Keen to provide excellent client service and nurture less experienced team members.
- Good general IT skills with knowledge of tax software.
- Excellent communication skills.
