We are recruiting for an Audit Manager on behalf of a well-established accountancy practice based on the outskirts of Bicester. The firm offers a full range of services to a varied client base, from sole traders and SMEs through to much larger companies.

As Audit Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients, liaising with them, communicating with them effectively throughout the audit cycle
- Managing teams through the planning, fieldwork and completion of audit engagements
- Monitoring budgets and keeping the partner updated on progress
- Manage and mentor junior team members with the ability to give constructive feedback
- Statutory accounts preparation
- Ensuring the effective and timely delivery of engagements
- Assist in tendering for new clients
- Maintaining and developing client relationships, both written communication and conducting face to face meetings
- Ensuring the firms processes and technical standards are maintained
- Continue developing your technical skills in all areas of the accounting and auditing standards
- Other ad hoc duties in line with business requirements

- Fully ACA or ACCA qualified with experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environment
- Have a minimum of 2-4 years experience of managing audits and audit teams
- Strong technical knowledge and experience in IFRS, FRS 101 and FRS 102
- Proven experience in working to tight deadlines and time management
- Ability to build strong relationships with staff and clients5
- An aptitude for teamwork and problem solving
- Good general IT skills with experience with accounting and audit software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
