Our client, a well-established boutique accountancy practice on the outskirts of Bicester, is recruiting for an Accountant , to join its team. This practice provides highly professional accountancy and tax advisory services to businesses and individuals, including sole-traders, limited companies and LLPs. This vibrant, growing firm will offer the successful candidate a friendly working environment, an element of flexible, hybrid working by arrangement, the potential for progression, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, and free onsite parking. As Accountant your responsibilities will include: Produce statutory accounts for clients, ranging from sole traders up to businesses with multi-million-pound turnovers Meet with clients to discuss their business needs and how you can support them Assist clients with tax queries when required Add value to basic services (management accounts, taxation, business advice, payroll, bookkeeping and company formation) Assisting and training junior staff on bookkeeping, VAT, accounts and tax returns The skills and experience criteria for this Accountant role are: Be a qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience accountant with experience within practice Have a good technical knowledge and experience of accounts, VAT and personal tax Sound project management skills with some experience in successfully managing a client portfolio Excellent and confident communication skills Be familiar with accounting software, especially Sage Good general IT skills and ideally a strong working knowledge of Xero, Taxcalc, Sage and QuickBooks Ability to train staff and communicate well with others in the team Ability to manage and meet multiple deadlines across numerous clients This friendly, forward-thinking practice offers a competitive salary and a supportive working environment, within which, the successful candidate can thrive.
