Our accountancy practice client is recruiting for a Senior Accounts Manager to join its well-established, independent accountancy firm in North London. The ideal candidate will be qualified ACA or ACCA qualified with proven statutory accounting and corporation tax experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environment.
The firm is offering the Senior Accounts Manager a competitive salary plus pension and benefits, and a discretionary bonus of up to £5,000 along with genuine progression opportunities.
If successful, you will manage a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients and take responsibility for client relationships, technical review, team management, workflow coordination, corporation tax compliance and billing.
Reporting directly to Partners, as Accounts Senior Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Manage a portfolio of clients and act as the main point of contact
- Review statutory accounts and corporation tax returns
- Supervise, mentor and develop junior team members
- Coordinate workflow and ensure timely delivery of assignments
- Resolve technical accounting and tax matters
- Monitor WIP, recoverability and oversee billing
- Support Partners in maintaining excellent client service standards
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Strong accounts and tax experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environment
- Proven management experience, including staff supervision and workflow management
- Experience reviewing statutory accounts and corporation tax computations
- Commercially minded with strong client-facing skills
- Good general IT skills
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
