On behalf of a Group of property companies, we are recruiting for a Part Time Finance Manager to work three or four days per week, to be based in Central London. The Group has both commercial and residential properties and this stand-alone role will service the needs of the Group and non-group related companies.
The successful candidate will ideally be ACA or ACCA qualified and able to take on the full scope of duties including payroll and statutory accounts. The role would likely require three to four days per week.
The Part Time Finance Manager will liaise with directors of the firm, and others, and with the firmβs accountants. Working within property, you will ideally have previous experience of service charge and property accounts.
As Part Time Finance Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Bookkeeping β weekly bank reconciliations and payments β currently maintained on Sage
- VAT β three group companies are registered for VAT β prepare quarterly VAT returns
- Management Accounting β quarterly consolidated P&L and cashflow to prepare using Excel and macros, comparisons and material variances to be explained
- Covenant Compliance Reporting β quarterly reports and one annual monitoring report
- Annual Accounts β prepare statutory draft accounts and liaise with auditors
- Statutory Records β maintain records for UK group companies, file annual confirmation statements for all group companies
- Payroll β total of 13 staff, two group companies have payrolls, monthly payroll processing, workplace pension and benefits in kind
- Board β attend and present finance meetings
- Ad-hoc β assistance with rent demands and other matters that arise

- Be a qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant (other relevant qualifications may be considered)
- Have extensive experience in a similar role, ideally with property and service charge accounts experience
- Applications from accountants from a practice background are welcome
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong IT skills and be conversant with accounting software, ideally Sage
