We are recruiting for an Audit Senior to join the expanding team of a successful and growing accountancy firm. The ideal candidate will be a qualified, client focussed auditor with previous experience of leading audit assignments from planning to completion. Responsibilities

  • Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion, ensure audit files contain all necessary documentation, properly organised in the appropriate sections.
  • Analyse accounting data from client records, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with regulatory, audit methodology, and risk management requirements.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with both new and established clients and address client queries promptly and professionally.
  • Identify and understand client needs, offering tailored solutions and executing them effectively.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, answering questions and ensuring high-quality work.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver accurate and timely client files and audits.
  • Deliver client work in adherence to legal and statutory requirements.
  • Prepare and review client documents, including accounts, tax filings, PAYE, and VAT submissions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Plan workloads effectively to meet deadlines and prepare work for sign-off.

Qualifications

  • Be a qualified ACCA/ACA – exceptional part qualified candidates will be considered.
  • Previous audit experience gained within an accountancy practice environment.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Experience supervising and coaching junior members of staff on site.
  • Dependable, professional, and self‑motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Good general IT skills and knowledge of accounting and audit software.
  • Excellent communication skills.
