We are recruiting for an Audit & Financial Reporting Manager on behalf of a successful, dynamic accountancy practice that has been going through a period of ongoing growth, and the successful candidate will be a part of this continued growth.
This is a client facing role that will require the successful candidate to build strong relationships with clients and members of the team. As Audit & Financial Reporting Manager, you will take responsibility for a portfolio of audit clients, coordinate the team and review work, manage deadlines and advise on technical queries.

As Audit & Financial Reporting Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Report to the Audit & Financial Reporting Director on audit assignments
- Planning of the audits with the RI and Senior, assessing risk and guiding the level of testing required in each area
- Taking the lead on audits and be the client’s point of contact for the audit service and ensure the team meet agreed deadlines
- Oversee the audit plan ensuring the team is on target each day, and provide supervision of the wider team and assist with an on-site presence
- Review the files and provide feedback to team
- Closing meeting with the client, brief head of department, and consultation with RI on all key audit judgements
- Provide on the job training to junior staff mentor and develop the team’s knowledge to help develop the audit team
- Supporting the RI and directors with managing the audit department and with gathering information for the preparation of reports for the firm’s Annual Return to ICAEW

- Qualified ACA or ACCA with a wide range of general accountancy experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environment
- Extensive post qualified audit experience
- Experience of charity and academy audits would be an advantage but not essential
- Excellent business acumen
- Strong technical knowledge
- Exceptional client relationship skills
- Great project management skills
- Considerable experience in managing teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
