On behalf of a successful accountancy practice, we are recruiting for an Audit Assistant Manager to join the dynamic and friendly team. As Audit Assistant Manager you will lead teams on a range of audit assignments and will take on responsibility for supervising and nurturing junior and recently qualified team members.
Responsibilities:- Manage and undertake statutory audits from planning to completion.
- Take responsibility for the management of the audit and the team to ensure completion within the agreed budget.
- Act as the principal contact for the client during the on‑site fieldwork.
- Deliver high‑quality work to tight deadlines.
- Supervise audit teams on site, review the work of the team and contribute to the development of junior team members.
- Manage and lead assurance and risk management projects, liaising with clients and preparing client reports.
- ACA/ACCA qualified with at least 1–2 years post‑qualified experience.
- Significant experience gained within a UK accountancy practice environment.
- Fully up to date with UK audit and accounting standards.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work under own initiative and to tight deadlines.
- Good general IT skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in managing and nurturing junior team members.
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Candidates requiring visa sponsorship, including those on a student or graduate visa, are not eligible. Experience gained within UK accountancy practice is also required.
